Best Time to Fish Salmon River

Fishing on Salmon River varies significantly by season. Spring runoff typically peaks between April and June, with conditions improving as flows stabilize. Summer offers excellent dry fly opportunities during morning and evening hours. Fall is prime time for larger fish as brown trout move into spawning mode. Winter fishing can be exceptional during midday midge hatches.
